And it's very hot. We've been set quite a punishing schedule by the British Council - since we've been here we've been to Soweto, visited Nelson Mandela's family home and the Museum of Apartheid. I'll be off to South Africa on the 13th and return on the 28th. I'll endeavour to collect my e-mails and messages in the meantime if you want to get hold of me. Anyway, a few details of my itinerary have come through - we (myself and the other cartoonists - Hi Matt) fly firstly to Johannesburg until the 18th, then proceed on to Cape Town for the rest of the fortnight.
